The epic of Manas - a source for studying concepts and terms of traditional education culture

In this article, folk concepts and terms, used in the practice of raising children of the Kyrgyz people from ancient times, were analyzed within the frames of The Epic of Manas. The concepts of traditional thought related to such issues as the purpose and methods of raising children, the ideals of the individual, given through phraseological units, aphorisms, imperatives and epithets, were reconstructed by the text analysis of the epic.
