Aesthetic education: the communicative role of fine art

The article is devoted to the pedagogical aspect of studying the postmodern artistic communication. The features of the modern artistic communication are discussed from the viewpoint of their specific nature reflected in the process of artistic and aesthetic education. According to the concept of H.W. Gumbrecht, such features imply “a culture of significance” and “a culture of presence”. The first one is connected with the epistemological interpretation of artistic communication; the second one is associated with the ontological interpretation. The author substantiates the fact that the content and technologies of artistic and aesthetic education should correspond to new trends in the postmodern artistic communication, i.e. updating the procedural forms of the relationship between the artist and the viewer, conceptualization and intellectualization of the artistic communication and its focus on the physical interaction with the object. The paper analyzes the process of formation of aesthetic experience in the postmodern artistic communication. The author notes that there are factors that impede this process. It is concluded about the efficiency of the formation of aesthetic experience based on the contemporary art materials and the theory of modern aesthetics.
