The paper presents data on the problem of oestrosis of small ruminants in the Stavropol Territory. The authors studied the biological and ecological basis of the existence of the parasitic system in oestrosis of sheep and presented data according to which one organism (parasite) lives at the expense of another organism, and together they define the parasitic system, which includes representatives of various groups of invertebrate animals.
