Direct adaptation to extreme conditions of activity with further rehabilitation must be planned and include special stages with their own goals and tasks and successfully implement them in their activity. Under this paradigm a zero or theoretical stage - a stage of training personnel begins at the Russian MIA educational institutions, the next four stages fall on the professional life. According to the author's conception the stages of theoretical and professional performance are at the same time the stages of psychological adaptation to extreme and everyday intensive work. The final fourth stage of adaptation must contain the stage of preparing to both rehabilitation and readaptation to the civil life after retirement. The article comprises methods of rendering self-assistance and mutual assistance in stressful situations.
