Stages of informatization of teacher education in China

The trends and main stages of informatization of teacher education in China, starting from the 90s of the twentieth century, are characterized. The results of the analysis of documents devoted to the informatization of education are presented. It is shown that the informatization of teacher education is part of a large-scale process of informatization of education and the development of teachers' competencies in the field of digital learning. The measures taken by the government to support the process under study, the specifics of its occurrence in different regions of China, in urban and rural areas, are highlighted. The role of targeted actions, taking into account the characteristics and needs of individual regions, to support the informatization of teacher education in the development of the state and society is substantiated.
