The development of the imperial political police’s methods of search-and-surveillance in the Yenisei province is examined in the article. The problems of legal, personnel and financial support of the regional tracker services are revealed. The main activities of the Yenisei trackers are classified and characterized. The national trends and the regional specificity are also shown in the article.
