The article presents results of frequency distribution of single nucleotide polymorphisms by markers rs12979860 rs8099917 of the IL-28B gene in Buryat and Caucasoid ethnic populations. A comparative analysis of the obtained data with indicators in known popula- tions was carried out and the prospects of using the results of the study in the aspect of pharmacotherapy of hepatitis C were examined.
