The present research featured the ethnic auto-stereotype and heterostereotype in the linguistic consciousness of bilingual teenagers. The article introduces the psycholinguistic content of the ethnic stereotypes in question. The research is based on an anthropocentric approach and uses the conceptual and terminological apparatus and methods of sociolinguistics and cognitive linguistics. The associative experiment involved 36 pupils of Shor nationality of the 8th and 9th grades of a boarding school in the Kemerovo region (Russia). The experiment included the stimulus words “Shorian man/woman” and “Russian man/woman”. The analysis of the results led to the conclusion that there were no signs of a negative autostereotype among Shorian teenagers. It was found that the respondents' formed heterotypes about Russian people are not entirely positive. A “us versus them” opposition was revealed.
