On the basis of the scientific achievements of the middle of the XX - beginning of the XXI centuries in the field of ethno-art studies the relevance of the approach application in the educational process in training students - future art historians studying the disciplines of the regional component - the art of Buryatia is emphasized. The article considers the perspectives of studying the art of Buryatia in the context of ethno-art studies as a scientific direction that reveals the specifics of comprehending the works of art.
