The article focuses on the urgent problems of police officers’ ethnocultural competence development. The competence is viewed within such concepts as communicative competence, ethnic tolerance, ethnic identity. The results of comparative empirical analysis enable the author to study psychological peculiarities of ethnocultural competence of cadets of educational institutions of the Russian MIA and current police officers of different divisions of the Interior bodies.
