In this article, the author suggests considering the destination as a territory of a special social space based on the ethno-cultural component through the paradigm of “symbolic interactionism. The article also discusses importance of ethno-cultural tourism in the Republic of Tuva as a socially determined phenomenon. On the territory of the Tuva destination, the Republic of Tuva ethno-cultural tourism can be implemented through glamping tourism. The author gives competitive advantages and prospects for the development of ethno-cultural tourism in the Republic of Tuva, based on ethnic, religious, cultural resources.
