Euphemization of communicative taboo

The article deals with the analysis of the ways of euphemization of the communicative taboos in the English language. There are revealed the basic reasons of the use of the euphemisms based on the dialogues of the British feature films, including the communicative tactics of avoiding the direct naming of the taboo words, the softening of the impact of the thematic taboos, the political correctness, the masking of the negative developments of the reality, etc.
