Teaching euphemisms in Russian as a foreign language

The given article is devoted to the problem of teaching euphemisms in the course of Russian as a foreign language. The readers will find out, why the euphemisms are topical for studying in the foreign audience, what methods and techniques can be used to interpret these linguistic units, in which aspects it is proper to explore the euphemisms. The results of the research made in Southern Federal University and in Rostov State Medical University among the foreign students of the 1-4 courses are presented in the work. The elaborated methodology for teaching euphemisms was tested during the pedagogical practice at RostSMU, Rostov-on-Don.
