Evolution of logistics management: from system to ecosystem

Бесплатный доступ

Each economic development period provides for the application of new approaches to logistics management, which is reflected in the forms of organizing logistics activities. The period of digital transformation places special demands on building relationships between participants in logistics processes, which should be based on the principles of openness, transparency, and ensure the ability to respond promptly to any dynamic changes in the internal and external conditions for taking logistics actions. Whereas the theoretical basis for logistics management in the context of the digitalization of economic relations is in its infancy and there is a gap between the practical implementation of the innovative forms of logistics organization and applied research, studies into the evolutionary aspects of transformational changes in logistics management are relevant. The goal of the study is to systematize views on the evolutionary form of ecosystem management of logistics based on the analysis of theoretical provisions and concepts in the conditions of digital economy. The hypothesis of the study is based on the assumption that the ecosystem form is an evolutionary stage in the genesis of logistics management and ensures the sustainability and efficiency of logistics at any hierarchical level. To confirm the hypothesis and achieve the stated goal, the study uses the methods of systematization of professional information and conceptual logistics provisions, as well as the general scientific methods of cognition for structuring and generalizing theoretical material on logistics management from the standpoint of ecosystems. The study results in the evolutionary analysis and identification of characteristic features of the ecosystem approach to the organization of logistics activities and highlights classification features for the formation of their development pathways.
