The article discusses the theory of motivation and their impact on the personnel policy of modern enterprises of the real sector, as well as the role of professional trajectory in career building. Working in a competitive environment in the real sector of the economy, in full economic independence requires a review of the existing management system of motivation of staff in enterprises. The problem of staff motivation remains one of the most important among the problems of personnel management. The willingness and willingness of staff to do their work is a key factor in the success of the organization. It is possible to develop an effective system of staff motivation if the Manager knows what drives the employee, what motivates him to work, what motives are the basis of his actions. To do this, you need to know how certain motives arise, how and in what way, the motives can be put into action, how the motivation of people is carried out.
