The evolution of scientific ideas about the territorial organization of tourism and recreational activities in the works of domestic researchers

Based on the analysis of publications by domestic researchers, four stages of evolution of academic ideas about the spatial organization of tourism and recreation activities have been identified. This article considers a broad set of the most significant domestic studies of the territorial organization of tourism and recreation in the period from the 1970s of the twentieth century to the present. The analysis of dissertation research directions, monographs and scientific articles on the subject under consideration is carried out, the author's periodization is given, the peculiarities of each period are highlighted. The directions of researches of territorial organization of tourist-recreational activity in works of Russian scientists at the present stage are defined.
