The review shows that the diagnosis of esophagitis associated with the use of cytostatic and antitumor therapy, is a challenge of modern medicine, which is associated with a large number of etiological factors that could cause the defeat of the esophagus, a low degree of specificity of clinical and endoscopic manifestations of diseases of the esophagus. As a general rule, confirmation of the diagnosis requires clinical, endoscopic, morphological and immunohistochemical study. To determine the cause of bacterial esophagitis requires bacteriological examination. Exceptions are possible peptic esophagitis dictates the need for esophageal pH monitoring of the esophagus is very difficult in terms of practical public health.
