The article is a review of the third issue of the main scholarly journal of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy “Christian Reading”, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of theological education in St. Petersburg. It is shown that the issue contains both a special anniversary collection, which includes materials diverse in text form and subject matter (welcoming words, discussion on the transcript of the round table, articles), as well as traditional “Higher Attestation Commission” headings and subheadings. A stable increase in the volume of publication was noted. The editorial board's desire to thematize issues, as well as the emergence of the new forms of scholarly material presentation are positively evaluated. At the same time, some wishes are expressed, which, according to the author, may contribute to the further development of the “flagship of Church-scholarly thought” (according to His Holiness Patriarch Cyril's expression), in particular, its acquisition of a bright, unique face and a more specific ideological concept. In general, the “Christian Reading” magazine is described in the review as an open platform which allows a variety of Church and secular scholars to speak out, and which reflects the current state of scholarly activity in the Russian Orthodox Church.
