Yuri Irdineev - a musical chronicler of the epoch (1941-2007)

The article is devoted to the creative image of the Buryat composer Yuri Irdineev, who reflected the thoughts and aspirations of his people, their historical and cultural past in his major works. Belonging to the second generation of the composers of the Republic, he successfully mastered the deep layers of national folklore and, overcoming the frameworks of the socialist realism method, he discovered some new musical genres and in doing that he achieved high artistic results and earned the love of the listeners.
