To the characteristics of the cultural landscape of Krasnodar: the evolution of the planning structure of the historic centre

The article is based on the results of the analysis of cartographic sources reconstruction of the processes of formation of the compositional basis of the modern cultural landscape of the historical center of Ekaterinodar-Krasnodar since the inception of the city to the present time. The chronicle of planning evolution is accompanied by the characteristic of the main stages of territorial growth and transformations of the initial regular orthogonal grid of the historical core of the city and the surrounding residential part of the local areas. It is concluded that the formation of the planning structure of Krasnodar within the survey area was generally completed in the late 1930s - 1941. In the future, the folded composition was subjected to only minor transformations. At present, the planning composition of the historical core of Krasnodar and the local planning structures of a number of adjacent territories retain their significance as the basis of the historical cultural landscape and the spatial organization of the central part of the city and serve as essential components of its true historical and urban planning environment. The results of the research are one of the grounds for establishing the subject of protection of the historical settlement of the city of Krasnodar in accordance with the current legislation.
