About evaluation of consumer demand for food market of the Republic of Buryatia

The article attempts to assess consumer demand for food in the Republic of Buryatia. We considered the correlation between per capita income of population of Buryatia and prices for foodstuffs, and offered a system of indicators, which allow as-sessing the level of demand for food. The analysis led to the conclusion that public authorities should support the solvency of the poor population in the republic.
