On the problem of fiction motif analysis

This study deals with the issue of fiction motif analysis. The problem is being investigated from the view of «motif - character» interrelation. In this paper the author tries to combine traditional approaches in motif analysis theory and to outline future trends in this sphere. The article elaborates on the event-trigger approach and the approach of existence and deals with the adjacent problem of motif - symbol correlation.
