On the problem of work on reading the texts

The article is devoted to the problem of working with texts and reading texts in German. Kinds of reading are singled out (informational, searching, detailed) and tasks that forestall reading are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the reading of original texts. Tasks before the text help to make the learners feel the semantics of texts, and sometimes they are also asked to create their own text on the basis of the given fragments from original texts. Thus, learners get ready to perceive a new text, it becomes closer and clearer to them. Examples from F. Kafka’s «Das Schloss», J. W. von Goethe’s and I. Bachmann’s poems, fairy tales and contemporary songs are drawn.
