On the problem of teachers’ motivation as a function of educational organization activity management

The study considers the problem of the implementation of the education management function as a type of social management. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the motivation for teaching staff in modern society, since the fundamental changes that have taken place in the educational sphere over the past decade require the heads of educational organizations to thoroughly study modern methods and forms of managing pedagogical teams. The peculiarity of employees' motivation is defined as the process of encouraging their activities aimed at achieving collective goals. The purpose of this study is to explore the basic principles of the management of the teaching staff, personnel policy and relations between the head and subordinates in educational organizations. The main method of investigation was the questionnaire method. To systematize aspects of education management as a type of social management, a contextual approach to the concept of «management» is considered. The results of the use of psychological methods to identify the characteristics of teachers' motivation are also presented.
