The article attempts to consider the phenomenon of “anti-language” in the context of the new ontology of M. Merleau-Ponty. The aim of the research is a phenomenological interpretation of the concept of “antilanguage” based on a critical analysis of the views of modern philosophers on this phenomenon. Relying on the phenomenology of the language of M. Merleau-Ponty, the author notes that the secret language serves as one of the modes of communication and an integral property of the language. The paper uses the existential-phenomenological method, which involves an appeal to the primary experience of intersubjectivity, as well as a systematic approach that allows us to study the phenomenon of the dyad “language - anti-language” from the point of view of a person as a subject not only of communication, but also of activity. The possibility of an interdisciplinary approach to the designated dyad within a single communication field inscribed in the texture of the flesh of the world is clarified. The novelty of the research is determined by the attempt to analyze the anti-language in a phenomenological perspective, which makes it possible to identify its ontological base, to explicate the primary experience of communication, the dialectical relationship of natural and artificial languages and anti-language, to establish the main functions of the anti-language. The author comes to the conclusion that language and its origin are inextricably linked with society, language is deeply social. The anti-language, in turn, promotes isolation and ultimately performs the function of relexicalization and resocialization. The practical significance of the article is that it will help a scientist, a graduate student or a student to orient themselves in the rapid processes that occur both in the language of philosophy and in the language as a whole.
