Sociological aspect of the principal conditions of distance learning in schools of Yakutia

The problem of distance learning in Yakutia is studied. Access to the Internet and availability of electronic devices have become necessary to satisfy the possibility of distance learning during the period of restrictive measures against COVID-19. Providing equal opportunities for school education in a distance mode is closely related to the development of communication networks, which is a special challenge for a region with specific climate and geographical features, territorial scales, inaccessibility, transport logistics, etc. Based on the analysis of official sources, statistical information and results of a sociological survey concerning the educational sphere, certain indicators of the conditions for organizing the educational process are considered. It was determined that there is an inequality in the availability of the Internet, differentiated by the territorial principle.
