The paper considers the issues related to the health of children residing in the Arctic territories of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). According to the latest changes of legal nature, these territories currently include thirteen municipal districts (uluses). Taking into account statistical data there is analyzed the present-day situation and changes of demographic indices, children and adolescents' incidence rates, the infrastructure of primary care setting. Yakutia's distinctive feature is a greater ratio of children in the total composition of residents. Living conditions in the Arctic significantly affect children's health condition, which gets significantly worse with the course of time. The revealed changes in the dynamics of children's incidence rates of the territory under consideration require a more detailed and comprehensive analysis with the view of maintaining and promotion of children's health and preserving human capital of the Arctic territories.
