Бесплатный доступ

Cultural concepts and their language verbalizations are being actively researched in modern linguistics, developing methodologies for describing concepts and various typologies. Among them is a type of concept such as toponymic, which many modern researchers have a rather mixed view on. In some cases, the toponymic concept refers to the concept named toponym (as in, the toponymic concept itself). In other cases, toponyms are understood only as representations of other concepts: spatial, temporal, social, etc. (in other words, indirect toponymic concepts). Our article is a study of toponyms, which includes the general and private categorical and individualizing of toponym semantics, stereotypes and associations reflecting the meaning of language view of the world. Toponymic concept sphere reflects the cultural situation in a certain historical period, a certain knowledge of the world in the form of organized toponymic concepts. Different opinions regarding the toponymic concept and the different methods of description do not exclude each other; rather, they complement each other by demonstrating content of the onomastic concept itself and its penetration into other cultural concepts, their intersection, and their fundamental intrinsic connection. The article offers different views on the toponymic concept in contemporary research and introduces the cognitive models of toponymic concepts on the material of Primorsky region.
