To the question of stylistic belonging the picture "Lady and the piano" by Kazimir Malevich

The article considers the style field in the art way of Kazimir Malevich from 1910 to 1915. The focus is on the little-studied work “Lady and the Piano”, from the collection of the Krasnoyarsk Art Museum named after Surikov. “Lady and the Piano” style’s analysis allows us to thin the date of the creation of the picture and make a qualitative basis for philosophical and art history analysis.The painting “The Lady and the Piano” fully complies with the basic formal and semantic characteristics of cubism, the work also has the signs of futurism and the manifestation of the artist’s own February-ism. The presence of two possible ways of exhibiting the composition, and therefore, two ways of interpreting the artistic image shows that the style is able to change the substantive aspects.
