To the question of forming professional competence among bachelor students of special (defectological) education in the process of organizing study and work practices

The actual contemporary scientific problem is the search for new approaches to training Bachelors students who can effectively carry out psychological and pedagogical support of learners with problems in mastering educational programs of primary general education. The author proposes a solution to the problem in terms of practical training of students enrolled in the Bachelor program in Special (Defectological) Education, with profile in Special Psychology that enriches and specifies the competence-based approach in higher education. The research, presented in the article, based on the methodology of the competency approach, reveals the idea that the level of professional competence is not determined by the size and breadth of knowledge, and the ability to solve professional problems of different levels is based on existing knowledge which is an integral competence. This specialist is actual to the labor market meeting the expectations of the employer. The author analyzes the theoretical aspects of the problem of forming professional competence of Bachelors students in Special (Defectological) Education (with profile of Special Psychology), taking into account FSES HE requirements during educational and practical training of students as exemplified by the Department of Special Education and Special Psychology of FSBEI HE "Murmansk Arctic State University". The main directions of work on forming general and professional competences among students with regard to activities in the framework of a future profession.
