To the question of admissibility and reliability of a specialist's conclusion

A specialist's conclusion which is a relatively new evidence for Russian criminal proceeding, is analyzed, questions of its admissibility and reliability as an independent type of evidence are investigated. On the basis of investigation of views of legal scholars the author makes a conclusion about admissibility of specialist's conclusion as evidence. Certain defects of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation able to influence the degree of confidence of a specialist are disclosed.
