To question the quality of meat and its impact on food security and quality of life

In modern conditions, changes in the course of the state to strengthen personal security, food security, raises the question of improving the quality of life of the population. Production of high-quality meat and meat products is one of the areas for its improvement. Beef is one of the main components of human life, so the provision of this type of product to the population is one of the priorities to ensure food security. The article deals with meat quality indicators that affect the quality of life of the population as a social aspect of food security. The assessment of the state of beef cattle breeding and the ability of selfsufficiency of the Perm region with meat and meat products is given. The analysis of statistical information for 2017 was carried out on the topic. The causes that slow down the development of beef cattle breeding in the region and the ways of elimination are revealed.
