On disturbed menstrual cycle in girls-teenagers: prevalence, structure, peculiarities of the course

Girls-teenagers aged 15-18 years (n=285) having several menstrual cycle disturbances and absence of iron-deficiency conditions were examined, prevalence and structure of menstrual cycle was assessed. The most frequent type of menstrual cycle disturbances in all patients was dysmenorrhea. Iron-deficiency anemia was revealed in 5,5% of patients including light stage anemia in 46,7% of girls and latent iron deficiency in 11,9% of girls.
