Currently, there are no clear recommendations for performing nephrectomy in patients with acute pyelonephritis and terminal stage of chronic renal failure (TxPN). This is especially true in patients whose cause of TNF is a urological disease or an abnormality of the development of the urinary system. In the case of purulent form of pyelonephritis, medical tactics are unquestionable. However, a number of unresolved issues remain. Should such patients carry out preventive one-stage bilateral nephrectomy? In the case of a recurrent course of pyelonephritis without obvious signs of a purulent form, is it shown by a nephrectomy? And if the question of surgical treatment is solved, it is necessary to delete one kidney or both, whether to delineate between two operations in time or not? In this article, we tried to answer these questions on the basis of our own experience.
