On the need to criminalize self-incrimination

In this article, the author considers the problem of the absence in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation of an independent corpus delicti providing for liability for self-incrimination, i.e. a deliberately false report of the commission of a crime by the applicant himself. Having analyzed various points of view on this issue, the author came to the conclusion that modern criminal legislation needs such a composition.
