The issue of patriotism and the content possibilities of the subject «Fundamentals of Russian statehood»

The current period of our state development is conditioned by new challenges, the purpose of which is to test the strength of Russian statehood, the unity and cohesion of civil society, and the patriotic feelings of citizens. In the dynamically changing Russian society, the importance of patriotism is growing, which is the basis for the formation of civil identity and the strengthening of Russian statehood. The article examines the mechanism of formation of patriotic consciousness in the student environment and the use of the new academic subject «Fundamentals of Russian statehood» possibilities for these purposes.
