This article is devoted to the use of digital educational tools for the formation of students' humanitarian culture taking into account the polyvariance of the English language in the system of additional foreign language education (SFLE). An important direction of digitalisation of foreign language education is the use of neurotechnologies, wireless communication technologies, which ensure the functioning of the whole system of continuous foreign language education. This methodology makes it possible to train future specialists, form their personal qualities and professional competences. The main task of a teacher of foreign languages (FL) in the supplementary foreign language education (SLE) is to improve students' speech skills and abilities purposefully and consciously in the process of performing special tasks in listening, speaking, reading, with the help of digital technologies. In this article, the author of the study emphasises the fact that in the classes of SFLE it is important for the teacher not only to ensure learning of the specific language units, but also to develop communicative skills on the basis of digital educational tools, which later become the basis for the intercultural communication for students. A teacher of FL should try to choose the appropriate digital technology, implement it, realise the proposed methods of language teaching or, based on them, develop his/her own methodology in accordance with the students' experience and abilities in the conditions of digital transformation of foreign language education.

The issue of developing future specialists has been a longstanding subject of inquiry, driven by the evolving criteria used to delineate the concept of a future specialist. Typically, the exploration of challenges and tasks associated with cultivating future specialists entails a focus on enhancing cognitive abilities, personal attributes, motivation, and practical professional competencies. However, a pressing concern in Russia currently centers around the cultivation of ethical and spiritual values, along with shared cultural foundations among future specialists. This research paper aims to analyze the formation of cultural values within the context of shaping the professional culture of future specialists, and to examine how the development of communicative competence influences this process. Within this study, definitions of culture and professional culture are provided, elucidating the role of cultural development in shaping professional competence. The inquiry also delves into the relationship between the study of a foreign language at a non-linguistic university and the broader cultural development of future specialists. Emphasis is placed on the significance of fostering an understanding of fundamental humanitarian and communicative principles in the educational programs of Russian universities. Ultimately, it is concluded that, in non-linguistic university settings, the study of foreign languages as a distinct discipline significantly impacts the cultural and professional advancement of individuals in contemporary circumstances.

Language as a living organism exists and develops with its people. Similar processes are observed in the cultural code, which is also undergoing irreversible changes. In this regard, an interesting question arises: how does learning foreign languages contribute to intercultural communication and understanding of someone else's cultural code through language, and is language really a cultural code? The purpose of this article is to define the concept of language as a cultural code, as well as to analyze how the cultural code contributes to intercultural communication. In particular, this paper examines the impact of learning foreign languages on the formation of intercultural competence. The authors conducted a survey on the basis of the State University of Management and the National Research Moscow State University of Civil Engineering. The survey results helped to understand how much students are aware of the cultural code and what gaps need to be filled. An analysis of the universities' work programs was carried out, problems were identified and recommendations for their resolution were proposed. The authors concluded that the cultural code includes a language that not only serves as a communication tool, but can also be considered a universal means of expressing any culture.

The article considers language as a carrier of culture and describes pedagogical strategies for decoding cultural codes in teaching foreign languages. The purpose of the study is to theoretically substantiate and practically describe the techniques that make it possible to read a language as a cultural text. The relevance is due to the communicative failures that occur when learning is reduced to a lexical and grammatical technique without taking into account value meanings. The theoretical and methodological framework includes cultural linguistics, cognitive linguistics, competence approach and comparative analysis. As a result, three levels have been identified that are maximally saturated with cultural values. A double classification is proposed: by domain and by axiological function (instruction of behavior; assessment of object/ subject/behavior; declarations of life values). Reproducible tools have been developed: code mapping of units, clusters of idioms according to cultural scenarios, contrasting mini-cases, pragmatic role-playing games, interlanguage portfolios and rubrics for assessing intercultural meaning formation. The model proposed by the authors reconciles linguistic accuracy with cultural interpretation, increasing intercultural adequacy and forming a multicultural linguistic personality. The practical value of the work lies in the possibility of direct integration into training courses and assessment systems. The scientific novelty of the research is the systematization of codes on the “invisible” layers of grammar and pragmatics. Limitations of the study include a focus on the Anglo- Russian axis; The prospects are the expansion of linguistic material, the development of digital tools for automated code search and longitudinal measurements of the growth of intercultural competence. Testing the methodology in different audiences will confirm its reproducibility and effectiveness.

На сегодняшний день персональный имидж является одним из главных конкурентных преимуществ медийной личности, стремящейся к публичной известности. Статья акцентирует внимание на целесообразности использования широкого спектра коммуникационных технологий для формирования и продвижения имиджа медийной персоны для повышения эффективности воздействия на все целевые аудитории с учетом современных тенденции в шоу-бизнесе. Общение с людьми и реклама являются важными коммуникационными каналами, однако, целесообразность использования инструментов PR все более подтверждается возможностями их мягкого пролонгированного действия. Все это определяет необходимость продолжать авторам исследования данное направление. Современный потребитель активно и быстро потребляет информацию, восприимчив к инновациям и вовлечен в разнообразные потребительские практики. Рост требований, в связи с этим к PR - технологиям предполагает не столько обеспечение взаимодействия с различными группами потребителей, в том числе и не обладающих жизненным опытом, необходимым уровнем критического мышления и фильтрации информации, с легкостью воспринимающих информацию о медийных лицах в авторской трансляции фоне, сколько создание положительной реакции, обеспечивающей продолжительный эмоциональный след в сознании потребителя. В статье выдвигаются и находят свое подтверждение предположения о том, что медийные лица благодаря использованию широкого спектра PR-технологий, задают стандарты качества жизни, потребления и способствуют формированию системы социальных координат и транслируют установки, образцы поведения, социальные нормы и ценности, получая в результате этого пролонгированный характер взаимодействия с целевой аудиторией. В рамках исследования осуществлён комплексный анализ пиар-инструментов и технологий, применяемых для формирования и продвижения имиджа медийной персоны Павлы Воли. Инструментарий и выводы исследования строятся на основных положениях компетентностного подхода, на анализе статистике запросов в Яндексе, результатов социологических опросов в ВКонтакте и в контексте исследований феномена медиа-личности Павла Воли. Практическая значимость исследования состоит в выводах и предложениях, касающихся поднятия популярности Павла Воли в медиапространстве в результате использования тех или иных пиар-инструментов.

Youth culture is a vibrant and multifaceted phenomenon that reflects the characteristics and preferences of the younger generation. She differs from an adult in her expressive, sometimes even harsh, manner of expressing her thoughts and feelings. Young people, as a special age and social group, have always perceived the values of culture in their own way, which at different times gave rise to youth slang and shocking forms of subculture. Slang is an irreplaceable part in the life of all people, especially in the life of the younger generation. It is used in conversations with friends, in educational institutions, and at various events. All this, first of all, in order to be “on the same wavelength” with peers. For the most part, teenagers have a positive attitude towards slang. Most believe that it is thanks to this modern language that you can concisely formulate and interpret your thoughts, spend less time talking and quickly convey important information. In the everyday speech of modern youth, words from the English language are increasingly found. As a consequence of this, youth slang emerged. This article examines the concept of “youth slang” as an integral part of the modern English language, examines the main linguostylistic features of slang, analyzes the main features of its functioning, coming to the conclusion that slang is firmly entrenched in SMS communication of young people in the form of abbreviations and abbreviations, as well as popularization new words and phrases. English, like any other language, does not stand still. At the moment, in many countries of the world there is an intensive process of transformation of the living spoken language, a significant aspect of which is the emergence of new youth slang.

Цель исследования - доказать эффективность small talk как способа обучения английскому языку студентов, обучающихся в неязыковом вузе. Научная новизна работы состоит в том, что впервые на основе обобщения опыта преподавания английского языка студентам Российского государственного университета туризма и сервиса и применения методов наблюдения и содержательного анализа последних исследований предлагается эффективный способ повышения коммуникативных навыков студентов. В статье раскрывается содержание понятия small talk, описываются его функции, а также способ и результаты его применения в рамках аудиторных занятий по английскому языку. Выявлены причины, вызывающие сложности при коммуникации студентов в формате small talk. Перед непосредственной практикой составления диалогов предлагается ознакомить студентов с функциями и структурой small talk, рассмотреть стилистические и лексические особенности small talk в рамках межкультурной коммуникации. Доказано, что регулярное грамотное применение техники small talk способствует развитию у студентов коммуникативных навыков, расширению их словарного запаса, повышению уровня их социальной ориентации и коммуникативной гибкости. Отмечено, что эффективность овладения студентами навыками устной коммуникации зависит от их мотивации, языковых способностей, культурного опыта и индивидуальных особенностей. Результаты исследования могут быть использованы при внедрении техники small talk в программы обучения английскому языку как иностранному в других неязыковых вузах при подготовке студентов разных направлений подготовки.

At the end of the 20th century, against the background of rapidly expanding political, economic and socio-cultural cooperation between Russia and Western countries, interest in learning foreign languages increased. The country needed specialists who could quickly become involved in international cooperation in all fields of activity. However, the need to prepare for intercultural communication revealed the insufficiency of existing approaches to teaching a foreign language, and the grammatical and translation orientation of the educational process required a significant transformation in order to ensure the formation of students' communication skills and knowledge about the culture of the country of the studied language. Rethinking the goal-oriented priorities of the discipline "Foreign Language" led to the development of new approaches to teaching a foreign language, an important of which was the multicultural approach. The paper characterizes the economic and socio-cultural factors of the emergence of a multicultural approach to teaching foreign languages, analyzes state documents that have consolidated the need to expand the cultural component of the process of learning a foreign language, gives a theoretical description of multicultural education, highlights its components, principles, interpretations of the multicultural approach, analyzes its role in obtaining cultural knowledge about the country of the studied language, necessary for productive international cooperation, implementation technologies are shown. The main provisions of the concept of multicultural approach by V.I. Mathis, as well as the concept of linguistic multicultural education developed by P.V. Sysoev, are studied. Attention is drawn to the functioning of various educational organizations that contribute to the development of multicultural education. The methods of teaching are called, the implementation of which will contribute to the formation of not only language skills, but, no less importantly, information about the culture of the country of the studied language on the indispensable basis of knowledge about the native culture. The authors conclude that the implementation of a multicultural approach to teaching foreign languages will contribute to the development of multicultural thinking, humanity, tolerance, respect for other cultures, which will become the basis for successful interaction in a global society.

In this article we tried is to determine the priority of the main organisational and methodological provisions in order to form the professional value orientations among schoolchildren in additional education (in the process of learning a foreign language (FL)). The research methodology is based on the axiological, personal-activity and professionally oriented approaches to preparing students to enter the university. The main methods of the research are theoretical and methodological analysis (study and analysis of the normative documents, the innovative pedagogical experience), the diagnostic method (a questionnaire survey) in order to study the attitude of schoolchildren to the future profession. The main organisational and methodological provisions for the formation of the professional-value orientations in the pupils of additional foreign language education (AFLE) are the creation of a psychologically comfortable microclimate at the FL class for the formation of pupils as a moral person with clear life guidelines. We also used the axiological approach to the selection of FL content taking into account the principles of the humanistic orientation, the professional orientation and the educational intentions. We took into account the activation of the communicative interaction; and the development of a new approach to the formation of the professional-value orientations in the pupils of AFLE.

From hashtags to emojis, from internet jargon to acronyms, all these elements contribute to the development of language. While some linguists see this as a threat to traditional language norms, others recognize it as a natural part of the evolution of language. The purpose of this article is to explore exactly how social media influences language change and determine what factors contribute to the emergence of new forms of communication. We will look at how changes in language reflect the cultural and social transformations taking place under the influence of social media, and how these changes are perceived by different groups in society.

In addition, the modern learning process involves the active use of the information technologies. Today a teacher not only teaches children using textbooks, but also introduces them to the world of information and communication technologies (ICT), teaches them how to work with computers, which is also extremely important for their future professional activity. Nowadays, it is important for the general education school graduates to possess the relevant skills and abilities that will make them competitive in the modern society. Thus, at school, teachers develop students' independence, and at the same time children learn self-organisation and reflection, as well as self-control. Thanks to such work, future graduates master the necessary skills of working with a personal computer, fully know how to create presentations, as well as make personal projects of various formats.

At the end of the XX - beginning of the XXI century after the fall of the "Iron Curtain", the rapid development of international cooperation with the countries of the world in the political, economic, social and cultural spheres actualized the knowledge of foreign languages. The education system was tasked with finding new ways of learning and new ways of organizational forms of education that could prepare students for subsequent intercultural communication. There was an opinion that the culturological approach has a qualitative potential for transforming foreign language teaching, and its subspecies will help solve some key issues on preparing future graduates for life in harmony with representatives of other cultures and peoples. In this article, the authors analyze the culturological approach to teaching a foreign language and show the history of its development at the turn of the XX - XXI century. The role of linguistic, cross-cultural approach, intercultural, socio-cultural and multicultural approaches as invariants of the cultural approach is emphasized. The authors analyze the scientific works of Russian researchers, methodologists and teachers who focus on the development and significance of the cultural approach in the framework of the study of the discipline "Foreign language". The importance of the formation of intercultural competence, knowledge and understanding of another culture as a strategic task of teaching a foreign language in higher education within the framework of a culturological approach is emphasized.

Over the history of its development, virtual means of communication have already left a significant mark on the formation of a modern authentic culture of any country. As their accessibility expands, the cultural boundaries between countries are blurring more every year. For successful orientation in the information space, students need to have an information culture. The article discusses the use of new information and communication technologies in teaching a foreign language in higher education. The relevance of the use of information and communication technologies in teaching a foreign language, which is pointed out by modern specialists, is demonstrated. The definition of the concept of "information and communication technologies" is given. The need to update views on the educational strategy is noted and modern trends and means in the use of information and communication technologies, such as: computer training, the Internet, e-books, audiobooks and audiovisual means are presented. These tools allow students to practice their language skills in real conditions and develop intercultural communication skills. The authors recommend that modern researchers pay more attention to the research of information and communication technologies. The opinion is expressed that it is necessary to gradually strengthen the cultural aspect of learning a foreign language in higher education, building education on a comparative analysis not so much of languages as of cultures of one's own country and the country of the language being studied.

The influence of information space and digital technologies on cultural evolution is profound in the contemporary era. This research paper delves into the dynamic evolution of cultural phenomena and communication processes within the information society, emphasizing the significant impact of information technologies on culture, education as a cultural subsystem, and the shaping of public consciousness. Through a blend of qualitative analysis, literature review, and case studies, the study aims to unravel the intricate interplay between information technology and cultural dynamics. It explores key theoretical frameworks put forth by scholars and delves into empirical data to enhance our comprehension of how technological advancements impact cultural transformations. Drawing from the insights of notable Frankfurt School thinkers, semiotic theories, and cultural studies, the paper underscores the pivotal role of communication processes in molding cultural dynamics. In addition, the problems arising from the evolution of artificial intelligence, active introduction of digital technologies in education from the cultural approach point of view are considered. The vector of changes acceptable in pedagogical approach for better adaptation to changing external conditions is proposed.

The world globalisation and the expansion of the international relations inevitably lead to an increase in the number of the people learning foreign languages. At the same time, the knowledge of the language of one country cannot be complete without knowledge of the culture and the traditions of this country. It is especially important that high school students preparing to choose a profession in their future life have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of the country of the language they are studying. Additional education, provided in or out of school, can be an excellent tool for expanding the knowledge of a foreign language and immersing in the culture of its speakers. This article will examine how the acquaintance of high school students with the culture of the country of the target language is organised in the system of additional education and how it affects their linguistic cultural competence.

The paper makes the case that cultural identity is foundational to foreignlanguage instruction at the university level amid globalization and intensifying intercultural exchange. It surveys Russianlanguage scholarship on the construct and shows that cultural identity is a fluid phenomenon, intertwined with value systems, social norms, linguistic repertoires, and lived practices. The analysis of classical ideas about the relationship between language and culture and pedagogical implications, including the geolinguistic approach and the role of emotional and value experience in language acquisition, is carried out. It is revealed that culturally oriented learning, based on the principle of ethnocultural orientation and egalitarianism of cultures, supports the development of intercultural competence, motivation and reflection among students. In the applied part, a comparative analysis of the foreign language work programs of the State University of Management (directions 38.03.03, 39.03.01, 37.03.01, 42.03.01) was carried out. It was found that the programs systematically integrate intercultural topics: personality and communication, business and corporate culture, the sociopolitical context of the countries of the studied language, and intercultural aspects of business interaction. The compliance of competencies with modern requirements and orientation towards the formation of cultural identity as the basis of professional communication is shown. Based on the review and comparison of educational materials, practical guidelines for teachers are proposed: taking into account the ethnocultural characteristics of groups, comparative analysis of cultural models, development of skills in intercultural dialogue and reflection on one’s own identity. It is concluded that the inclusion of a cultural component improves the quality of language training, promotes personal growth and students’ readiness for responsible communication in a multicultural environment. The work is addressed to teachers, researchers and practitioners seeking to build identitysensitive language education at the university. The influence of the school base of humanitarian education on the students’ readiness for further formation of cultural identity at the university has been studied. A working definition of cultural identity has been formulated for the purposes of this study.

This article is devoted to the use of modern interactive – communicative method of teaching a foreign language in a higher educational institution. The purpose of the article is to review and analyze the use of paremias (proverbs and sayings) in foreign language classes using the example of teaching English. Comparison with analogues in the Russian language helps to form a cognitive interest in learning English, develop imaginative thinking, creative inclinations, language guesswork, memory and logic, expand knowledge about the culture of English-speaking countries, expand horizons. The article covers the effective use of proverbs and sayings in teaching a foreign language, for students of a nonlinguistic university. The author considers the tasks that need to be solved during the educational process to achieve optimal results, justifi es the feasibility, effectiveness and relevance of their use for teaching foreign languages in higher education. In the article, the author cites studies by well-known linguists on the effectiveness of using proverbs and sayings in foreign language lessons, and also presents the results of a study on the use of these tools to increase student interest and effectiveness in teaching foreign languages. Particular attention is paid to the use of proverbs and sayings when practicing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The article provides examples of the use of educational techniques for teaching students a foreign language, aimed at developing communication abilities for using the language in natural situations of communication in the fi eld of tourism and hospitality.

In particular, in the tourism industry, where interaction with clients from different parts of the world is a key aspect of successful business, knowledge of English is becoming not just an advantage, but also a necessity [1]. Travel companies seeking to expand their client base and improve their service level must recognize the importance of English as a tool for effective communication and creating a positive image. The relevance of this work is because insuffi cient knowledge of English among employees of travel companies can signifi cantly reduce their competitiveness in the market. In conditions when tourists increasingly choose international destinations and expect a high level of service, companies that are unable to provide high-quality interaction in English risk losing customers and, as a result, reducing their economic indicators. Thus, the study of the importance of English in the marketing strategies of travel companies becomes an important task that helps to identify ways to improve their efficiency and competitiveness.
