The purpose of the research was to show usage of sunflower seeds infected with Phoma causes pathogen transfer to the other regions and accumulation of fungus infectious matter in soil. Sunflower hybrids Achilles, Mercury, Factor, Altair, and Donskoy having different level of resistance to Phoma were used as an object of the study. The research was conducted in fields and laboratories of the V.S. Pustovoit AllRussian Research Institute of Oil Crops. We infected sunflower heads with the pathogen (Phoma macdonaldii Boerema) putting under bracts a nutrient medium from the seeds artificially inoculated with fungus in laboratory. In all variants the infection level was equal 100%. Necrotic spots of infected tissue occupied less than 50% of total morphologically low side of sunflower head but they extended deeply and reached seeds. And we observed infection symptoms on seeds. Having planted such seeds in greenhouses we detected either spaced seedlings due to full blight of embryos or seedlings or growing plants had external symptoms of Phoma. Thus, the modeling experiment showed sunflower seeds infected with Phoma in any levels causes accumulation of fungus infectious matter in soil and pathogen transfer to the other regions.
