This article discusses approaches to understanding the essence of the interpretation of law, provides an analysis of the views of researchers on this issue, expresses the author's position on the validity and relevance of those or other positions of jurists. Based on the points of view discussed, the conclusion of the article concludes that it is the interpretation of the law at the present stage of development.
