To the question of the concept, content and properties of a judgment sentence

The article discusses the concept and essence of the acquittal in the criminal proceedings of the Russian Federation. Based on the current criminal procedure law and special literature, it is concluded that the acquittal as a form of the final court decision has such properties as binding, exclusiveness, immutability, prejudice and truthfulness. In order to avoid discussions in the science of criminal process, the authors propose legislatively to fix the concept of “acquittal” in the criminal procedure law.
