On the issue of legal regulation of easements in roman law and Russian legislation

The article examines the institution of servitude, which is present in Russian legislation and originates in Roman law. To define and compare the concept of easement in Roman and modern Russian law, the provisions of the Civil and Land Codes of the Russian Federation, materials on the development of legislation on easements in Rome are analyzed. In addition, the article examines the correspondences and discrepancies in the types of easements of the compared legal systems.
