On the question of the limits of the employee’s liability for damage caused

The article is discussed some issues of establishing restrictions on the recovery from the employee of harm caused by him to the employer as part of the performance of labour duties. The law enforcement practice on the designated problem is analyzed. It is concluded that by establishing the legal regime of limited material liability, the legislator protects the rights and legitimate interests of the employee as the most economically weak party in labour relations in order to ensure a balance of interests and prevent the deterioration of the financial situation of workers.
