On the issue of the use of modern technologies in criminal proceedings in the BRICS countries

In the BRICS countries, the introduction of the achievements of modern technological progress and the legal regulation of the admissibility of their use in criminal proceedings are significantly different. The author refers to the criminal procedural regulation of the use of technical means, as well as the practice of their use in criminal proceedings. The current state of the sphere of criminal procedural proceedings in the BRICS member countries is characterized. The study made it possible to identify the advantages and disadvantages of the use of technical means in the criminal procedural activities of the BRICS member countries, as well as to identify the prospects for the development of the field of criminal justice through the introduction of modern technologies into the practical activities of their law enforcement agencies and courts.
