On the problem of participation of the prosecutor in the legal activities of local self-government bodies

This article discusses the main areas of activity of prosecution authorities in the field of supervision and interaction with local authorities in the implementation of their legislative initiative, as well as in monitoring compliance of municipal acts with the Constitution of the Russian Federation and federal legislation in force on the territory of the Russian Federation. The paper analyzes the practice of applying the Order of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation on the participation of prosecution authorities in the rule-making activities of local authorities (for example, municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan).
