To the problem of teacher's professional patriotism

The article reveals the urgency of the professional patriotism. It points out that the professional patriotism development is a priority area of modern educational policy. In the article various positions on the essence of the term «patriotism» are presented and analyzed. General features of this term are highlighted. It is noted that patriotism is an integrative quality of the personality, a principle, a social duty, a feeling, an obligation, readiness, an idea, consciousness. It is noted that patriotism is not only a social feeling, but a patriotic attitude and a patriotic activity. Particular importance is given to the legal, aesthetic and other components of patriotism. An approach to understanding the structure of patriotism is also important. Emotional-psychological, rational-ideological and action-practical components of patriotism are distinguished. The aspect of patriotism isemphasized, indicating the personality awareness of patriotic duty and the need for constant implementation of patriotic activities. The results of a survey of future specialists on professional patriotism, on the most effective forms, methods and tools that promote the development of professional patriotism are presented.
