On the issue of countering foreign interference in the electoral process in the Russian Federation: socio-cultural context and protection mechanisms

This article considers foreign interference in the elections of the Russian Federation as one of the threats to national security. The article analyzes the activities of a special state body to investigate the facts of interference by foreign states in the internal affairs of Russia. The study outlines possible methods of countering this phenomenon and substantiates the conclusion that measures to counter foreign interference in the electoral process should be taken comprehensively and systematically. Special attention in the system of these measures is paid to the legal and political culture of young and future voters.
