To the issue of ways and mechanism of removing investigative errors at the pre-trial stages of the criminal court proceeding: practitioner’s and theorist’s view

The article is devoted to one of the topical topics of criminal proceedings - criminal procedural means and ways to eliminate investigative and judicial errors. In the work, the author, based on personal experience of judicial activity, expresses an opinion on the creation of a unified Investigative Committee, the institute of judicial investigators; characterizes the procedural powers of the head of the investigative department in accordance with current legislation; considers the issue of strengthening the role of the prosecutor and expanding his powers at the pre-trial stages; provides arguments (for and against) in relation to the establishment of the institute of investigative judges.
