Concerning the rationality of religious belief (reflection by a case of Islam)

One of the tasks of modern philosophy is to protect conceptual thinking at the reflexive and theoretical level while achieving and ensuring clarity. Guided by the argument of V.N. Porus that rationality problematizes almost all main areas covered by modern philosophical thinking, the study reflects the specific nature of rationality inherent in Islam as a world (universal) religion with the dogma to be diametrically interpreted in a complex social and cultural reality. Reflection of the rationality of Islam is aimed at designating the attributive trait of rationality that is moderation. The moderate (limited by measure) rationality of Islam is of a relevant nature in a secularized world with consumerism as a foundation. This type of rationality implies the moral and legal system ensuring the reasonable actions that consider all possible consequences and interests of other people. The main findings of the study can be used in the general courses on the history of philosophy and the special courses on the history and philosophy of modern religious trends that will allow their audiences to build their own opinions about current social dynamics in its religious aspect.
