The article discusses the role of educational design in the development of a student's ability to perform professional functions in connection with the integral nature of assignments for course design, the proximity of its structure to real project activities. The analysis presents recommendations for improving the course design, topics and content of course projects in construction disciplines, which are necessary to improve the efficiency of training highly qualified specialists for the construction industry.
