On the issue of the content of the martial law regime

The article examines the topical issues of the institution of a special legal regime of martial law. The analysis of the main historical prerequisites of the formation of the content and grounds for the introduction of martial law in their modern understanding is carried out. The attention is paid to the peculiarities of the legal aspects of introduction and functioning of the martial law regime under the current Russian legislation. The author attempts a new interpretation of the content of martial law regime as a multilevel structure. In conclusion, the recommendations are formulated to improve the legal foundations of the institution of martial law.
